SEND developments
We are excited to share our new offer for children who are on the SEN register.
We have put together a timetable of interventions based on children’s EHCP targets that will be run by the SEN team. Children take part in the specific activities on the timetable that are designed for their target areas. These activities take place out of the classroom with a mix of children from the key stage. The timetable has been designed to reduce the impact on classroom time with activities taking place in short bursts, predominantly during classroom transition periods.
Interventions include: group sensory circuits, access to continuous provision, team building games, creative activities, physical activities, mindfulness and self esteem work as well as fundamental literacy and numeracy skills.
Initially these activities are tailored for those children who have an EHCP. As we move forward, there will also be activities available to suit those on an ILP.
The first sessions have been successful this week and the children have responded positivity and it has been wonderful to see the children getting involved and developing their skills in different areas.

- improving the physical environment of the school for the purpose of increasing the extent to which disabled pupils are able to take advantage of education and benefits, facilities and services provided or offered by the school
- improving the delivery to disabled pupils of information which is readily accessible to pupils who are not disabled
